This year DHL European Financial Services celebrated its 10 year jubilee in association with the “Opkikker foundation”.

The word “opkikker” means re-energize and that is exactly what the foundation aims to do. The purpose of the foundation is to organize special (re-energizing) days for very sick, often terminally ill, children and their families.

Friday January 22nd 2010 DHL European Financial Services organized the YOU ARE A STAR PARTY for all employees in Maastricht & Brussels.

Over 200 colleagues posed on the Red Carpet and enjoyed a great evening at Kasteel de Hooghenweerth in Maastricht.

Every year EFSS Maastricht participates in the Shoe Buddies initiative of the Edukans Foundation. This year a special volunteer team was created and they dedicated a lot of their free time to collect and fill up as much as possible shoe boxes with useful material and toys for children who are less fortunate than us in various countries!

Result: 544 collected shoe boxes - an absolute record!

Waste separation at DHL European Financial Services Maastricht: already a 30% decrease in waste production!

The Facilities department started checking the whole waste stream  and - along with input from various departments - they implemented a waste separation drive.
